The World Unseen

Documentary

The West met the wealthiness of the East after it took great steps towards developing industrialization. It is very clear to everyone how this process took place... The West gained more power by ignoring the values and cultures of the countries it exploited. As the West tried to make up for their exploitation they were faced with a society who lost their cultural values and was forced to speak another language. He began sarcastically explaining everyone and everything his camera captured to world, with his microphone in his hand. It was obvious that his intentions weren’t to understand and explain those cultures. His intentions were to entertain people on TV and to deliver the message that stated; “Their situation would have been a lot worse if we hadn’t come here in the past,” from time to time. When you visit undeveloped countries you will notice the reaction of local people seeing the camera. They are usually very aggressive because they are well aware of how the West shares the footages taken of them to the world. The ambition of The World Unseen is to introduce these districts, which have been portrayed to us through the Western view, to the world from our own perspectives and values. The World Unseen presents extraordinary stories of lives by focusing on every single detail. We create our compositions with cinematographic images. Delicately chosen music decorates our compositions that are formed with images which gives the viewers excitement and makes them think. Main purpose is to bring to you the notion that the lives of the Eastern people are as important as the lives of the Western people.
