Songs From Far Away

Labor migration from Türkiye to Germany started in mid1960’s. From those years until today, the first songs about longing, homesickness and pain change into a new kind of music with a new kind of language that belongs there. Songs from Far Away is about Turkish immigrant music in Germany. The story reveals its change since the 1960s, through the eyes of a Germany-born Turkish musician.
